NSW: Catchpole released from Silverwater jail on bail

MARK CATCHPOLE has been released from Sydney's Silverwater jail on bail.

The 40-year-old former club rugby player appeared before Sydney's Central Local Court
via audio-visual link yesterday on a string of drug and firearms charges.

CATCHPOLE did not speak to the waiting media and covered his face with a blue hooded
jacket as he passed the prison gates last night.

He was was met by his father .. Wallabies legend KEN CATCHPOLE .. before being driven away.

Magistrate ALLAN MOORE granted Catchpole conditional bail on a 100 thousand dollar
surety .. after the prosecution conceded he's unlikely to commit further offences while
at liberty.
