CMT Steps Up Programming.(Company Business and Marketing)

Country Music Television, having taken steps to firm up its position on the distribution front, continues to ramp up its programming performance as well.

Over the past two years, the CBS Cable property, now in some 39 million homes, has increased its commitment to original productions, with an ear toward proffering more concerts and live music segments. With specials, new series and fresh video packaging, about one-third of CMT's lineup is now original.
